Here The team is pleased with the progress they are making on the plastic bottle.

To eventually blow a hole in the side of the bottle, we had to tape a number of blackcats and m-80's to its side. We then cut a square piece of aluminum out of a pop can and taped that over the fireworks.
This acted to focus the explosion inward into the bottle. It was an obsession. There was no purpose behind this exercise. We thought it would just be another cool thing to blow up. But when it resisted our first attempt, the challenge was on. We could not proceed with any other experiment until we had shown this plastic bottle who was boss.

The explosion caused a shock wave that threw David off his feet. Fortunately, the shrapnal from the bast missed his vital organs.

A nice group picture of some of our guests. Look how happy everyone is. Its all because of fireworks and the glory of the 4th of July.
