Recon (Andrew Horn, Andrew Strotheide, Steve Lane, Mark Coleman, David Fifield, and Mr. Tinnes) and the choppers hit the Sand Dunes LZ at 0600 hours. We saddled up our gear and began the 6 mile hump to the rendezvous point. Recon performed their long-range surveillance and then set up base camp for the night. In the morning Recon was up before dawn at 0430. We humped the 6 miles back and completed our mission. |
