Return to Chicago, September 2006

Steve Lane and Alex Brancard were kind enough to fly me to Chicago September 2–4, 2006, along with Alex's girlfriend Tabitha Dial. So I got to see Laura again sooner than expected. We went to the Art Institute and the Oak Street Beach.
The happy pilots. Tabitha. Me. Colorado farmland.
I was very happy to see Laura. Getting ready for our first ride on the elevated train.
What's the point of having a conveyor if you can't ride it? Joan of Arc at the Art Institute. A painting with dead fish. Me with Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.
This is what the display looks like up close. There were many large spiders in the tunnel to the beach.
Laura gets self-conscious when you take lots of pictures of her.
Alex.
Feet.
A shark much like the one we once freed in Washington Park. Chomp!
The Cubs lost.
